On November 9, it was revealed that the Department of War classified Matthew's emails on January 9 due to concerns regarding national security, preventing all government officials from making any comment on his emails.

Here are some insights into Matthew's character since the U.S. government and mainstream media have chosen to depict him as a deranged soldier who betrayed his family.
